The Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90) is a 77-mile segment of the United States’ longest interstate. Constructed in the 1950s, this stretch of aging roadway stretches from Rockford to O’Hare Airport.
Our surveys found that the Kishwaukee River contains one of the highest quality mussel communities remaining in the state; we continue to monitor this population.
We are also monitoring biological communities along the I-90 bridge over the Fox River.
